Baby Ph.D. Childcare Network Membership Opportunities

Membership is open to local home daycare operators, nannies, and family and friend caregivers.  Family and friend caregivers should see our Family Membership page.  

Home Daycare Membership, and Home Daycare Affiliate options are explained below:

Home Daycare Membership

Childcare Network membership is open to existing and prospective home daycare providers in the Hyde Park neighborhood and immediate surrounding areas.  

Baby Ph.D. Childcare Network members utilize similar curriculum & administrative procedures. However, each location also reflects the unique professional style and priorities of the caregiver(s).  

Basic membeship requirements for childcare providers include:

- Ability to accept children ages 0-36 months

- Willingness to implement comprehensive early childhood curriculum

- Willingness to utilize certain network-wide administrative procedures

- Commitment to professional development

- Willingness to maintain state standards for daycare homes as defined by Illinois DCFS

- Willingness to observe home daycare standards set by the National Association for Family Childcare

- Willingness to participate in network-wide quality management procedures and to host site visits by network   personnel

- Willingness to invite all families in your care to enroll in the Baby Ph.D. Network

- Location within the following geographcial boundaries: 43rd Street North, 63rd Street South, Cottage Grove West,   East to the lake.

Home Daycare Affiliate

Childcare Network affiliation is open to existing and prospective home daycare providers in the Hyde Park neighborhood and immediate surrounding areas.  

Affiliates may participate in our centralized intake and referral system and/or they may bring children to participate in our activity workshops at a reduced fee.  

Affiliate requirements include:

- Ability to accept children ages 0-36 months

- Willingness to share a copy of your parent contract and/or parent handbook with network personnel.

- Willingness to maintain state standards for daycare homes as defined by Illinois DCFS

- Willingness to host at least one site visit by network personnel

- Location within the following geographcial boundaries: 43rd Street North, 63rd Street South, Cottage Grove West,   East to the lake.
